Is there a Chrome Extension for Trust Wallet

Is There a Trust Wallet Chrome Extension you can Trust in 2023?

Trust Wallet is a cryptocurrency wallet trusted by more than 10 million people worldwide. But does Trust Wallet have a Chrome Extension? This guide will answer this question and determine whether the Trust Wallet Chrome extension should be trusted.

Available to download on both the App Store and Google Play Store, Trust Wallet is a popular wallet for cryptocurrency investors. However, many users wonder if they can use Trust Wallet on their Chrome browsers, like MetaMask and Phantom wallet.

So, let’s jump into this guide to help you work out if you should download the Trust Wallet Chrome extension on your browser.

Please note this article will answer these questions according to the latest information.

Is There a Trust Wallet Chrome Extension?

Trust Wallet does not currently have a Chrome browser extension, and there is no plan to develop one anytime soon. The official wallet by Binance, Trust Wallet, is only available to download as a mobile app on the Apple App Store or Google Playstore.

Trust Wallet is yet to even announce they have started developing a Chrome extension or that it’s in Beta. Therefore, its unlikely they´ll be planning on releasing one in the immediate future. Any Trust Wallet app found on the Chrome web store is likely to be fake, and we would not recommend downloading it or connecting your wallet to it.

If you want to make transactions using a crypto wallet available for PC, then maybe Trust Wallet is not the right wallet for you.

If you´d prefer to use a laptop to trade or transact cryptocurrencies, MetaMask is a great alternative. Unlike Trust Wallet, MetaMask does have an official browser extension. Using your secret recovery phrase, you can also import your Trust Wallet assets into MetaMask. This will prevent transaction fees, as you don’t have to send your cryptocurrencies from one wallet to another.

Is Trust Wallet Only Available on Mobile?

According to the official Trust Wallet website, their mobile application is only officially available on two mobile platforms, Apple App Store and Google Playstore. This means that the service is only available for mobile and not officially on PC.

However, if you want to use it on your PC, you can use 3rd party services such as Bluestack. Bluestack is a platform that functions as an emulator to run applications on smartphones, be it games, social media, or applications like Trust Wallet that you can run on your PC. But, of course, the appearance and features are only limited to a smartphone. Therefore, it may be worth just waiting until a browser extension is officially released by Trust Wallet or choosing an alternative such as MetaMask.

How to Open Trust Wallet on Chrome?

Unfortunately, you can´t run Trust Wallet on Chrome. This is because there is no official Chrome extension that’s been developed by Trust Wallet team.

However, even if you can’t use Trust Wallet on chrome, you can still import Trust Wallet into other crypto wallets such as Metamask, which does have an official chrome browser extension.

For those who don’t have the Metamask extension for Chrome, you can download MetaMask here. If you already have a Metamask wallet, you can also import your Trust Wallet assets using your secret recovery or backup phrase.

Is the Trust Wallet Extension in the Chrome Web Store Trusted?

If you log in to the web store and search for an extension for Trust Wallet, you may see the below extension. Although this looks very similar at first glance, it’s highly likely this isn’t the official Trust Wallet Chrome extension.

Trust Wallet Chrome Extension Reviews

There are several reasons why this Trust Wallet Chrome extension is fake;

  1. There have been no official announcements or links from the Trust Wallet website regarding this extension. Usually, a crypto wallet would provide safe links to chrome web stores from their site. However, if you look at the Trust Wallet website, you won’t find one.
  2. This Trust Wallet Chrome extension has only been downloaded by 9,000 people, which is low considering their 25 million+ user base. Although there are positive comments in the reviews, some negative comments can also be found. For example, one user left a 1-star review stating, “I am not sure that it’s not a scam. There are no links to the extension from Trust Wallet’s official website.”
  3. When downloading and logging into this Trust Wallet extension (not something we would recommend), there’s a notification stating that this extension is still in the ‘Beta’ version. Perhaps, for this reason, it is also why the Trust Wallet website has not yet officially announced its extension because it is still in the development stage.

What is certain is that you have to be careful because there is no official announcement from Trust Wallet. Therefore, it’s not recommended to install any chrome extensions related to Trust Wallet until its certain they are officially developed products.

Trust Wallet Browser Extension Alternatives

Many other crypto wallets are available as browser extensions that you can use as a Trust Wallet alternative.

In this way, you can access your crypto assets on your PC directly from within your browser. You´ll also find their security and features aren’t that different from the Trust Wallet. These include Metamask, Coinbase, Exodus and Crypto.com.

Alternatively, you can use WalletConnect to connect your mobile app to crypto web platforms such as Uniswap or PancakeSwap.
